How are you going to make money by referring new affiliates to the affiliate program? This is where Two Tier Affiliate Marketing Programs work like magic!

Affiliates are becoming smarter by the day. So these days, affiliates know the difference between the different types of traffic that can be paid for. There are a number of meanings for CPM, CPC, CPA, CPL, CPD and more.

Recommended Reading:

CPM is the impression that the publisher (the owner of the website) is paid every time a banner is shown.

CPC is where the publisher (or email marketer and other marketers) is paid every time a banner or text link is clicked.

The other methods of getting paid are grouped together under the term performance marketing, and this is where the word affiliate is most widely used.

An affiliate is a marketer that sends visitors to another site using a variety of methods (such as putting banners or text links on their own site, buying supported search engine listings, email marketing, and many other methods) and gets paid when an event occurs. This action can be a lead (CPL stands for Cost per Lead), a sales (CPS stands for Cost per Sale), a download (CPD stands for Cost per Download) and many other variations.

Those in the Internet industry refer to performance-based marketing as CPA (cost per acquisition), while the word is also used for different forms of promotions, such as lead or revenue.

Now that we’ve got over the hard part of it, the rest is easy to understand.

The affiliate shall be paid for sending visitors to a specific landing page where the action is either a lead, a sale, a download or any other action required by the advertiser. As an example, some marketers are trying to build up their lists, so they pay for any opt-in email address they get, some want leads from different areas, so they pay for zip codes, and instead attempt to persuade people to fill in their zip code, to fill in a more comprehensive lead type.

The common denominator is that the partner should be charged when the operation takes place.

Two Tier Affiliate Marketing Programs work by simply finding new marketers to sign up under you to do EXACTLY what you do to send visitors to different offers and get paid when visitors perform some kind of action. So why would you want other marketers to sign up for the same offers under you? Just get paid a percentage of the amount the affiliate you ‘re referring to gets paid? Does that sound complicated?

Don’t worry, that’s not hard to understand. As an example, say John promotes five separate deals on a single affiliate network. It’s paid for every lead, sale, email and zip code it generates from these different offers. John is now telling Mark about the network and getting Mark to sign up using a banner or text connection that includes John’s referral code. Mark is now joining the John Affiliate Network and is beginning to promote various deals and advertisers on the Affiliate Network. These don’t have to be the same offers that John promotes. Mark may promote any of the offers on the Affiliate Network.

And that’s the best part of Two Tier Affiliate Marketing Programs

For any amounts Mark is paid, John receives a percentage of the amount over and above what Mark is paid for. So if Mark is paid $1,000 in the first month and the Two Tier Affiliate program is paying 5 percent, then John would get $50 just for referring to Mark.

Yet it’s going to get even better

Some Two Tier Affiliate Marketing Programs are paying the LIFETIME commissions. But John wouldn’t get a referral fee for just a month or a year to have it for ALL TIME.

If Mark becomes a super-affiliate and starts generating HUGE commissions every month, John can just sit back and collect the checks he’s referring to.

There are 3 important things to know when finding affiliates to sign up for 2 Tier Affiliate Programs under you:

Is the affiliate system or affiliate network reliable, has adequate monitoring so that the referrals are tracked accurately, has successful ads and deals for affiliates to advertise so that they actually make money, and will they pay in time? Assuming the affiliate program or network is good, what percentage do you get paid for the amounts your referrals are paid for? All programs are so different that they compare different programs to see what the industry standard is.

How long have you been collecting referral commissions for? Some pay for a month, some for a lifetime, and of course there are a lot of variations between them.

So do your homework and find some Two Tier Affiliate Marketing Programs that can make you a lot of money for the work you’re doing today in the future.
